Former Governor and failed 2012 Presidential nominee Mitt Romney recently had an interview with the Washington Post, and during this conversation he once again tried to shovel a heaping pile of bullshit. During that interview he said that the 47% comment was taken out of context and that he was misquoted. This is what he said to the post:
“Actually, I didn’t say that … that’s how it began to be perceived, and so I had to ultimately respond to the perception, because perception is reality.”
Nice try Mittens but that story just doesn’t fly in the real world. Especially when you were caught on VIDEO saying the following:
After taking a week off, it’s time to come back to Monday School! Still your ongoing go to place for ‘The Rational Corrective To All That Nonsense You Learned Yesterday!’
Today we’re going to approach the ongoing hypocrisy of the Catholic church, especially when it comes to deal with their response to the comments being made by their new leader, Pope Frank.
A few months ago, Pope Frank made the statement that all good people will be allowed into heaven (even atheists) as long as they live a good life. It seemed like a very positive message, aimed to give everyone reason to be nice to their fellow man, but the Church was quick to correct that statement, saying that no one gets into heaven unless they accept Christ first… basically telling people that their own leader was incorrect.
There goes any question about the alleged infallibility of the Pope.
I started writing this book a while back and as usual… it took forever to put together an ending I was content with. After letting a few people look it over for me, I’m proud to say that my third nano is finally finished and online. Check out that bad ass cover:
Here is the description of the new book that I’ve posted on both Smashwords and Lulu to promote sales:
Last week my friend Patrick and I purchased tickets to attend this year’s Fan Expo. This is something we’ve wanted to do for a while so this year we chose to make it happen. I have a few extra bucks from some of the ghostwriting projects I’ve been doing, so I caved and agreed to make the trip to Toronto and attend the event. Our tickets are already purchased and we’re only going on the Saturday that weekend, which is the most expensive and coolest day of the four day event. The Expo happens to occur during a weekend that I have just Ethan by himself, so rather than try to avoid my fatherly duties… we got a ticket for him too! Ethan has been getting into a log of cool stuff (like Star Wars) so we think he would have a great time at Fan Expo. It should be a lot of fun for everyone!
The fact that this happened here in Canada is shameful. Gay marriage has been legal up here a lot longer than it has been for our neighbours to the south. Yet hatred is everywhere and it appears Canada is no exception when it comes to meeting their religious zealot quota. In the city of Kingston, a lesbian couple found the following letter in their mailbox:
It’s Monday! Time once again for Monday School. And yes indeedie – it is still “The Rational Corrective To All That Nonsense They Tried To teach You Yesterday!” even though it’s taught by someone who sometimes can’t resist using silly phrases like “yes indeedie.”
Today’s Lesson: Jesus Walked On Water, For Christ’s Sake! How Can We NOT Believe He Was GOD?!
Whoa! I’m not the smartest person on the planet but experience has taught me a few things that I think we all ought to remember:
– Always blow on a spoon of hot soup before shoveling it into our mouths, for example.
– Always turn on a light before attempting to walk down the basement steps while carrying a heavy appliance.
Perhaps most important of all:
– Always check, double-check and then triple-check what the Bible says before believing a single word of it.
